Kathrine's specialty is the sciences. She is best at explaining Biology and Chemistry, including college and AP chem courses. She lives in Long Beach and will travel to the surounding areas listed above.

With a bachelor's degree in Biology she has the knowledge necessary to tutor math through pre-calculus and trigonometry. As a Long Beach resident she travels both north to the South Bay Cities and south to tutor biology and chemistry in Aneheim Hills, Bixby Knolls, Seal beach, Belmont Shores, and Sunset Beach.

Kathrine graduated from California State University, Long Beach, and began tutoring there in 1999. From early on she found great satisfaction in helping other students and continued to tutor through her college career.

Once out of college she stopped tutoring so she could devote her full energies to her career in the field of bio-chemistry. She soon found that helping students was much more engaging than working in a lab, and by 2005 was tutoring full time. This is where she is at today, and as such she is available all days and times except for Sunday, and even then she will tutor if one of her students needs test prep.

Kathrine's personality is very engaging. She has the most charisma of anyone in the network and is great at bringing what she learned from her previous work in the chemistry field to help explain concepts to students. This is something very few other chemistry tutors can bring to the table. She describes chemistry as a "different language" and beleives most tutors fall short of doing a good job at explaining it because they haven't mastered the language. She has a strong personality, which is great for getting through to students who are despondent or psyched out with their school work.
